Away The Lasses

Gateshead FC formed a Women's team for the first time last summer. The lasses currently sit top of the Durham FA Women's Development League with a 100% win record from their opening nine matches. I've enjoyed watching Gateshead FC Ladies this season, they've represented the club with great pride and play the game with a smile, so they're obviously enjoying the experience. I'll be following their progress with a keen interest and look forward to seeing them amongst the honours come the season end.

Footnote:

(In case you didn't know) for every match I attend I put £1 in a moneybox and 50p for every goal I see, which pays for the Xmas big shop, so watching the Heed lasses is costing me a fortune
