Beforehand I checked out the social posts of UD Puerto Del Carmen, and noted they were at home on Saturday evening, the day after my arrival. I also logged on to Futbology after checking into our hotel and found that CF Sporting Tias were at home early Saturday afternoon, just 2 miles away from our digs. Tias is north of the resort and was just twenty minutes away, made up of a fifteen minute walk to the bus stop and a five minute bus ride, which conveniently stopped outside the stadium.Spectators gather at one side of Campo Municipal Tias, made up of a seated stand with a lovely curved white roof, a refreshment bar with tables and chairs, plus standing room at the sides of the stand. The changing rooms are underneath the stand, so the players emerge from a tunnel. On the opposite side are the team benches and as always, whenever you watch a match abroad, there’s an electric scoreboard with a minute counter.

Tias faced Fuerteventura side La Cuadra, taking the lead half way through the first half before the visitors quickly equalised. The match was pretty even, but the hosts should have won it, missing a sitter in the last minute.
After the match I returned to the hotel and saw that CD Puerto del Carmen had taken down their early post regarding their fixture.
I watched Soccer Saturday in the pub(yet again, my football bet didn’t kop) then took the forty minute walk to the ground on the western edge of the town, in hope rather than expectation. As expected the stadium was deserted so no Lanzarote Groundhopping double for me, but overall I was happy to get another ground tick whilst on holiday.
